This bathroom-remodeling project included the necessity of a custom-made Dutch door, complete with functional “Z” bracing. The door was the homeowner’s own answer to her concern over the ability of the enlarged window to allow sufficient light into the room. The chest was designed as a bench for him to sit on while removing his boots, and also for storage inside. Both the door and the chest are constructed of oak.
